We need oil to keep our cars, lawnmowers and other machines running smoothly. According to the Australian Petroleum Statistics, we consume around 159 million litres of oil every day – ranking Australia at 20th in the world for oil consumption. When automotives and other machines are in use, impurities such as dirt, metal scrapings, water and chemicals can get mixed in with the oil. Over time, it no longer performs well and has to be replaced with virgin or refined oil to do the job properly.

As a result, we help our customers to cut costs and protect the environment, knowing your waste oil can be reused to its full potential and reducing the need for imports.

What types of oils do we accept?

Global Resource Recovery NT operates an innovative oil treatment facility, where we accept any low-grade oil – from petroleum-based to synthetic oil. We utilise physical, chemical and thermal processes for the initial recycling stage and then can further refine as required.

Our state-of-the-art plant is purposely designed to produce a high grade oil that can be sold. We remove contaminants from various types of oils using a fully automated system, including:

Non-PCB transformer oils
Lubricating oils
